RCMJD employs 2 Alexander teachers currently, James Allsopp and Jean Mercer. Between them they teach 60 students a week.
The students come for lessons in pairs which is great for students to give each other feedback during lessons, especially when working with the instrument.
They are taught the principles of the Technique and how to apply them to practice, performance and daily life, providing them with the tools to pursue their musical ambitions with ease and poise.
Students can ask for Alexander Technique lessons or can be nominated by their instrumental teacher.
