Anne Whitehead and Patrick Gundry-White teach gifted young musicians age 8-18 years here at Chethams. Lessons are taught in small groups of 6 students and also on a 1-1 basis. Our aim is to not only help these very busy young people to take care of themselves and take time to stop and think about the best means to play their instruments but also to equip them with a better awareness of themselves promoting confidence, clarity and the ability to reduce states of tension.
Heads of Department have been impressed with the reduction of stresses and strains related to their instrument playing across the board.
