Movement Coordination

Some studies have compared movement coordination in people who have received extensive training in the Alexander Technique (Alexander teachers) with that of people who are not experienced in the Technique:
- Effects of Alexander Technique training experience on gait behaviour in older adults
- Older adult Alexander Technique practitioners walk differently to healthy age-matched controls
- Prolonged weight-shift and altered spinal coordination during sit-to-stand in practitioners of the Alexander Technique

- Neuromechanical interference of posture on movement: evidence from Alexander technique teachers rising from a chair
