UPCOMING AT WORKSHOP from the Judith Leibowitz Scholarship Fund

Presenter: Evangeline Benedetti, senior Alexander Technique teacher and 40-year member of the New York Philharmonic

Workshop: Parallels Between the Two Techniques: The Alexander Technique and Musical Performance.

Evangeline Benedetti, senior Alexander Technique teacher and 40-year member of the New York Philharmonic

All proceeds go to support AmSAT’s Judith Leibowitz Scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to trainees of color to attend AmSAT certified training courses. To date, we have supported ten students, four of whom have graduated and become teachers. One of our funding sources is this monthly series of online workshops. We have had a wide variety of presenters (mostly AT teachers) from the US and Europe.

In this workshop, Benedetti will show the parallels between the Alexander Technique and musical performance. She will explore their similarities and see how to integrate…or do we mean to commingle, meld, blend, harmonize, mesh? Please bring a chair, your instrumentation and an open mind!
