This study demonstrated the feasibility and acceptability of a self-management programme for the care partners of people living with neurodegenerative disease. The programme consisted of ten group classes in the Alexander Technique, using standardised content and format. Most of the participants (84%) stayed to the end of the course and attendance at classes was high (85%). They reported enjoying the course and appreciating the group interactions. The study also does the necessary groundwork for a future randomised controlled trial to evaluate the effectiveness of this intervention. The outcomes reported in the current study should be regarded as preliminary but are encouraging. Compared with baseline, the care partners showed improvements in executive function, balance and emotional self‐regulation, both immediately after the course ended and when followed up 6 months later. A further publication is expected, reporting outcomes after 12 months.
