Rachel was a professional cellist and cello teacher for many years before training to teach AT at the Brighton School for Alexander Technique. She was led to the technique initially as a means to reduce her own back pain and became fascinated by it's ability to improve one's all round life skills. She uses aspects of the technique in her cello teaching, enabling students to find a better means of coordinating themselves, thus preventing injury and facilitating their overall performance. She runs a private Alexander Teaching practice in Hastings and continues to play the cello.
