John Nicholls trained with Walter and Dilys Carrington from 1973 to 1976, and remained for a further 11 years, assisting the Carringtons daily on their teacher training course. He has subsequently directed Alexander teacher training programs in Melbourne, Australia, in Brighton, England, and in New York where he offered private lessons, “hands-on” supervision groups for teachers and trainees, a teacher certification program, and structured postgraduate courses for teachers until March 2016. He has also during this time been invited to teach at many training courses around the world, and to lead workshops for teachers and give private lessons. His book, The Alexander Technique: In Conversation with John Nicholls and Sean Carey, was published in 1991. In March 2016 John returned to the UK and he is currently available to travel anywhere by invitation - UK, Europe, Australia and NZ, and the Americas - for short periods of teaching at all levels. This would include consulting on a training course, workshops for teachers and trainees, and private lessons or small groups for anyone from beginners to experienced teachers. see johnnichollsat.com and contact him by email (email@example.com) to find out more.
