I discovered the Alexander Technique after over a decade of debilitating and chronic back pain & sciatica. I tried everything else: physiotherapy; osteopathy, acupuncture; core strengthening exercise and Pilates. Nothing helped and I found myself in a recurring cycle of pain which had begun to dominate my life. Having already had spinal surgery, I was informed that a spinal fusion would be the next step. A friend suggested that I try the Alexander Technique and I decided to give it go. 

It is over four years since I started the Technique, and I am still amazed at how effective the Technique is. In particular,  I have not had sciatica since I started. Before this time, I had a three month period of sciatica every year. I feel I now have so much more control over my back. I have also experienced such a change in my well-being and the Technique has brought me a real sense of presence and calm.

After over twenty years in the civil service and legal roles in the NHS, I was so impressed and inspired by the Technique that I decided to train as a practitioner.

I am extremely passionate about sharing this transformative technique and it's immense physical and psychological benefits.

I have recently undertaken specialised Alexander Technique training for people living with Parkinson's disease.
