I describe the Alexander Technique as a way to “do things more easily”, whether that’s playing a musical instrument, speaking a foreign language, running a marathon, or simply moving with less pain. I first discovered Alexander Technique when I was at music college and found it enormously beneficial for my piano-playing and for overcoming back-pain that I suffered from. I trained as an AT teacher from 2013-16 and have worked with a wide range of students, including performers, those suffering from chronic pain, and athletes.
