Mr Kamal Thapen

Kamal Thapen has been a teacher of the Alexander Technique since qualifying in 2000. He was a partner in a printing business for 25 years. He is passionate about getting the Alexander Technique more into mainstream education, industry and healthcare and set up HITE Limited in partnership with Claire Rennie to do so. As HITE Books they are also publish and sell books on the Alexander Technique.

Kamal has served as a Council member and Chair of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) in the past. He is currently a director of the Friends of Alexander Technique, the Charity for the F Matthias Alexander Technique, and the Chair of trustees of the Alexander Trust. Kamal's other interest is T'ai Chi: he was a founding member and Director for a time of The European School of T'ai Chi Ch'uan.
