Claire Rennie originally qualified with 1st class honours in Engineering & Management in 1992 and progressed to be a Senior Quality Engineering Manager in the Automotive Industry with Rover, Honda and BMW. The award of a prestigious Daiwa Scholarship gave Claire the opportunity to study Japanese intensively and work as an engineer in Japan. However, seeking solutions to underlying back pain and then RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) led her to the Alexander Technique for her own relief, and she rapidly became intrigued by the power of the technique to improve our overall health, well-being and performance. This inspired her to undertake the 3 year STAT accredited teacher training, qualifying as an Alexander Technique Teacher in 2005. She is registered with the CNHC, has been a Director of STAT, is a founding Director of HITE Ltd as well as being one of three Directors for the 10th International Alexander Congress to be held in Limerick, Ireland in 2015.
