I have taught the Alexander Technique to teenagers for twelve years at the Cheltenham Ladies’ College, and to adults in private practice. I am a pianist and I was originally introduced to the Alexander Technique through performing, but I have worked with surgeons and nurses in pain; financial advisors wanting to improve their running times; and engineers wanting to improve their golf stroke (and lose their back pain!). I also have experience at teaching and supporting people with chronic illness and bereavement, and I individually adapt lessons accordingly.
I am happy and skilled enough to work with anyone, whatever your motivation. I only continued lessons myself (initially at least) because my piano playing was immediately enhanced, I loved the feeling of lightness and relaxation during and after lessons, and my aches and pains disappeared.
I currently offer lessons in Stroud on Mondays 1000-1400 and Tuesdays 0900-2030. During the pandemic I will be working from Ownzone, 9, Lansdown, Stroud. GL5 1BB
