STAT oversees a number of three-year full-time teacher training programmes (part-time training is also available) both in the United Kingdom and abroad. Courses are approved by STAT after a thorough process of evaluation and are regulated through a system of annual monitoring.
Applications to enter teacher training courses are invited from individuals who are already committed to learning the Alexander Technique for their own personal development. Prior experience of individual lessons would usually be expected. Each training course sets out its own pre-requisites and these are listed in the course details.
Prospective students are encouraged to visit training courses by arrangement and to have lessons with the course director(s) before considering a formal application.
