Yukihiro Takada is a certified Alexander Technique teacher based in Ashikaga, Tochigi, Japan. He completed his training in Alexander Technique Centre in Galway, Ireland with Richard Brennan.
Yukihiro first met the Alexander Technique when he was looking for a solution to the movement disorder on his left little finger (so-called task-specific focal dystonia or musician's dystonia) while playing the clarinet. It was October 2018 in Tokyo Japan that he went to his first Alexander lesson. Although he had no clue what was happening during the lesson, the sound produced afterwards was rich and effortless. Yukihiro immediately booked his second lesson.
Since Yukihiro has improved a lot of things with the Alexander Technique – clarinet-playing + focal dystonia, stiffness of shoulders and lower back, knee pain, breathing, performance anxiety etc., those are the fields that he can speak about from his own experience. Yukihiro wants to help people be aware of their potential and support their power to live with ease and joy.
Beside the Alexander Technique, Yukihiro holds a PhD in physics. He is also a physicist and research engineer working in the vehicle-related industry.
