I began having Alexander lessons after a friend told me about the Southampton Back Pain trials when I was experiencing acute low back pain. The occurrence of low back pain was not new to me, as I had had bouts of it for 20 years. Within a few weeks of lessons, my pain was gone, and has stayed away. Following redundancy, I decided to train for 3 years as an Alexander Teacher.
