Kathy trained at the Alexander Teacher Training School in London and is an approved teacher of STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique).
Kathy established a performing arts medicine clinic working alongside doctors advising musicians on posture and the ergonomics of playing their instrument. She is a visiting tutor at the City Alexander School in London and at the London College of Osteopathic Medicine. Kathy currently works at London Prolotherapy.
Kathy attends regular CPD workshops and has undertaken parkinsons' training with the POISE project.
Kathy is able to help people with a wide variety of problems. She believes in treating the whole person to avoid a focus on the part that is causing discomfort. Listening time and compassion is an integral part of Kathy's lessons.
She is also a professional cellist with over 25 years teaching experience and an interest in incorporating the Alexander principles into her music teaching. Her classical music training affords her a unique skill set in managing injured musicians.
Kathy holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
