Alison Little

Alison originally trained as a Speech and Language Therapist and went on to develop a specialty in voice work which she practises currently in an NHS capacity.Her interest in voice and her own problems with chronic back pain inspired her to take Alexander lessons and qualify as a teacher in 2004.
Since qualifying she has built up a private practice as an Alexander teacher in addition to working regularly with pupils at Godolphin school and with members of the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra. She has given workshops for some of the local County Music Services, for S.T.A.T.,for Doctors and for Allied Health Professionals.
Alison has a particular interest in dealing with those in chronic pain and has been involved in two trials to show the effect of the Technique with this population group.She also likes to work with musicians as she is a violin teacher and has had pain in the past due to poor habitual patterns.
Alison enjoys using the technique to 'help people to help themselves'
