What we do with our body affects our thoughts, feelings brain chemistry and behaviour

(Dr. David Hamilton)

Introductory course - 3 classes

- Beginners & Refreshers -

We all want to change something and we are always doing the best we can with our existing knowledge. This 3-session course is a great way to start learning in more depth how you can change unconscious tension and posture habits. If you’ve had some sessions before, it’s a great way to top up your existing skills and get some useful Alexander reminders.  You will have practical experience of the six basic Alexander principles and how you can use them to enrich your daily life. Everyone will have individual work with Caroline as well as discussion and other activities within the small group. (Max 8)

“I cannot recommend Caroline as a teacher highly enough.  She prompted thought provoking and stimulating discussion, balanced with practical work.  Caroline worked with different people each week and it was fascinating to observe, and motivating to feel the difference when I was the person she worked with.” CP Manager.

The course is practical, educational and fun.  A reading list and follow up information are provided as well as a £10 gift voucher to put towards a future 1-1 lesson.

I'm a 40 year old man who works as a support worker. I was suffering from sciatic pain for a few years. I had tried many methods to alleviate the pain, including various exercises, but these only brought short-term relief. One day when I was looking for some natural medicine to ease the pain, I came across the Alexander Technique. I initially booked a course, which relieved my sciatic pain, and I now have regular sessions. I recommend the Alexander Technique, especially to anyone who has suffered from sciatica or posture difficulties.
