ATAS is a non–profit international association of autonomous Alexander Technique Societies that share a desire to maintain high standards in teacher training. As a supportive alliance, each member Society of ATAS is equal and affiliated to one another.

Their website is https://www.alexandertechniquesocieties.com/

ATAS supports its Mission and Vision through the following objectives:

  • Encouraging communication, collaboration, research, and information sharing between Societies
  • Facilitating reciprocal teacher memberships between Societies
  • Assisting new and potential member Societies in their efforts to become self-governing
  • Expanding the number of countries that have member Societies in ATAS
  • Increasing global awareness of the Alexander Technique
  • Collaborating with organizations with compatible interests
  • Maintaining a worldwide professional profile

Regular meetings are held between representatives of the Affiliated Societies in pursuance of these aims.
