I originally began Alexander Technique lessons to help with lower back pain. After many years of physiotherapist, osteopath and massage appointments this was a last ditch attempt to help me feel better.
With the help of my teacher, it didn't take long for me to learn how to manage the pain with a new found self awareness which allowed me to understand what I was doing whilst sitting at my desk, walking and all other activities which could exacerbate it.
The weekly sessions were a chance to stop and have a welcome break from a busy life. I also found other benefits including feeling calmer, more confident and taller!
When I had my daughter I realised that there weren't many people directly helping new parents with the problems they can come with having a child eg. back pain, change of posture, and fatigue. I now specialise in working with new parents to help with these issues.
