John Nicholls will be visiting the Alexander Technique Academy in Italy from Tuesday, June 9th to Saturday, June 13th, 2020. He will be teaching on the training course in the morning from Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 to 12:30, and will be available for private lessons upon request in the afternoon/evening. On Saturday, June 13th, John will run a full day teacher workshop, from 9:30 to 17:30, on the theme “The Grey Zone”.
The Grey Zone
We talk glibly about "doing" and "non-doing" or "thinking" and "doing" in Alexander work as if there could be no doubt about the distinction between these terms. But in reality there is in some situations a "grey zone" in which the distinction is not so clear and these in-between areas are a rich source of fruitful Alexander investigation. That's what we will be looking at in this workshop with a view to becoming clearer in understanding our own use and helping our students improve theirs.
