Learn about the Alexander Technique or refresh your knowledge this weekend in the comfort and calm surroundings of Claridge House near Lingfield, Surrey. Benefit from helpful explanation, guided activities, hands-on work, discussion and constructive rest to find out how the AT can make your daily life easier, your health and state of mind better, and how to reduce pain, strain and tension - for good! The course runs from Friday to Sunday; the first session is after dinner on Friday evening and the last session is before lunch on Sunday but join us for tea and cakes on Friday at 4pm for a relaxing start to the weekend.
Your tutor, Jill Payne, is an experienced AT teacher based in Beckenham, Kent. She has been presenting courses at Claridge House for many years always to popular acclaim. Jill's humour, clear explanations and individual attention to course participants in six sessions over the weekend makes for a great introduction to Alexander work, and is a refreshing reminder for those with previous experience. Groups are friendly and informal and adults of all ages are welcome. The maximum group size is ten.

Extra private tuition is also available on Saturday afternoon by arrangement with the tutor.
The weekend includes accommodation, all meals (delicious vegetarian, with special diets catered for), morning breaks and afternoon tea on Friday and Saturday, opportunities for quiet contemplation and a warm welcome to all.

Claridge House is an attractive Victorian house set in two acres of it's own beautiful gardens. It has recently been refurbished, maintaining it's character and charm, and rooms now have modern ensuite bathrooms. The centre is an oasis of calm and simple comfort and it is a perfect setting to experience the Alexander Technique and discover the principles behind it. It is a Quaker retreat centre and a registered charity.

By train: There are trains from Victoria to Lingfield. Let Claridge House know well in advance if you need a lift from the station and you will be collected by car..
