Friday Nov 20th - Sunday Nov 22nd 2020.
Learn about the Alexander Technique or refresh your knowledge this weekend in the comfort and calm surroundings of Claridge House near Lingfield, Surrey.
Covid-19 measures are in place for your safety with social distancing and extra hygiene measures throughout.
Find out how AT can make your daily life easier, your health and state of mind better, and how to reduce pain, strain and tension. The course will use explanation, discussion and activities to re-train your thinking, along with constructive rest. If appropriate, hands-on touch may be used by mutual agreement, according to current guidelines.
The course runs from Friday to Sunday; the first session is after dinner on Friday evening and the last session is before lunch on Sunday.
Your tutor, Jill Payne, is a very experienced AT teacher based in Beckenham, SE London. She has been presenting courses at Claridge House for many years always to popular acclaim. Jill's humour, clear explanations and individual attention in six sessions over the weekend makes for a great introduction to Alexander work, and is a refreshing reminder for those with previous experience. Groups are friendly and informal and adults of all ages are welcome.
The group size is small (7) due to Covid-19.
Julia Broom, who attended the course in February 2020, said,
"Along with the peaceful, loving space Jill's humour, energy and compassionate spirit were very healing."
Extra private tuition may be available on Saturday afternoon by arrangement with Jill, if appropriate.
The weekend includes accommodation, all meals (delicious vegetarian, with special diets catered for), morning breaks and afternoon tea on Friday and Saturday, opportunities for quiet contemplation and a warm welcome to all.
