Alexander Technique Introductory Class September

This is a practical and theoretical introduction to the Alexander Technique in a small group setting. There will be ample opportunity to have your questions answered and taking this class will help you to make an informed decision whether you would like to take lessons. You will be introduced to some of the basic principles of the Technique. We will also cover a couple of practical procedures which you can start to explore yourself immediately.

The Alexander Technique is a fascinating and practical method by which you can learn more about how you move and think. The Technique helps to bring more awareness into all your activities and teaches you how to prevent habitual patterns of tension and effort. The Alexander Technique helped me release tension which I was previously unaware that I had, in particular when standing at the tee. In the past my mind would have been elsewhere and my thoughts made me more tense. Applying the Technique I discovered relaxing the jaw, feeling my socks in my shoes, sensing the ground beneath my feet and just being there really helped. My drive distance improved and I cut 5 shots in one game.
