This retreat is open to everyone interested in the Alexander Technique and its application in movement.
We will explore running, dancing, daily routine tasks, rhythm coordination and movement in general, while we work on the use of ourselves. Everyone at all levels of experience with the Alexander Technique is welcome. Each day there will be different workshops taking place simultaneously for participants to choose between, there will also be space for spontaneous meetings and exchanges.
There will be some workshops for Alexander teachers only, focusing on teaching perspectives.
Malcolm Balk's instructor training program ‘The Art of Running' will also be on offer during the retreat.
In Uruguay and in Argentina there is a growing community of committed teachers of the Alexander Technique who are increasingly engaged with the work. We would like to take this opportunity to invite our colleagues from around the world to join us in Uruguay for this event and to continue making connections and deepening our understanding of this precious work.
