Record-keeping for Alexander Teachers (MS Word version)

Also known as "The Two-Minute Record", this guidance and sample forms were created in response to the requirement of CNHC that teachers should keep records of their work.

"Being registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council requires you to keep records. This, however, need not be an onerous requirement. After the initial lesson, you should normally be able to keep a lesson record which is adequate for regulatory purposes in less than two minutes.

Stress? Take it lying down   Teachers of the Alexander Technique – a practice…

Video by STAT and the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain on the Alexander Technique.

I was looking for some way to help manage my lower back problems without relying on pain relief medication. I have found my one-to-one AT sessions extremely helpful and have learnt to identify and avoid postures and actions that contribute to back pain. I now know how to relax and properly rest my back and neck. In my experience, AT is a whole body technique which can help one to be more self-aware and to understand how to move with less tension and consequently, with less effort. Hurray for AT!
